Safeguarding Policy
Last updated: September 2026
The Stranger Things Initiative is committed to safeguarding all people we support, especially those who are vulnerable or experiencing homelessness. We believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and safety.
Our Commitment
We take safeguarding seriously in all outreach activities, volunteer engagement, and interactions with people in need. We aim to create a safe, compassionate, and accountable environment.
Volunteer Conduct
- Volunteers must treat all individuals with respect and dignity
- Inappropriate behaviour, discrimination, or abuse will not be tolerated
- Volunteers must follow ministry guidance during outreach
- Concerns must be reported promptly to ministry leadership
Reporting Concerns
If you have a safeguarding concern relating to our ministry, please contact us immediately at help@tstinitiative.org or by phone. In an emergency, call 999.
Working with Vulnerable People
We recognise that people experiencing homelessness may be at greater risk. We seek to respond with sensitivity, appropriate boundaries, and respect for personal autonomy and privacy.
Review
This policy will be reviewed regularly and updated as our ministry grows.
